Ireland Star Signs With Men's Soccer

Conor McNulty, a defender from Curragh Athletic FC in Ireland has decided to continue his career at St Catharine College.

McNulty has been named Young Player of the Year with Drumkeen United and Cappry Rovers and was the leading scorer for Cappry Rovers and Ballybofey United.  He has been the Captain for  Ulster Senior League Cup which they won and was also the Captain for Ulster in the Shrewsberry International Tournament which they finished third.

Curragh Athletic FC, Coach Shaun Carlin says, "Conor is a very talented footballer and we have been glad to have him at the club. We will be sad to lose him but its a great opportunity and we will be right behind him hoping for Conor to have great success in the States with St Catharine College."

St Catharine Coach, Tim Wolz is excited to have Conor for the 2012 season.  "We are having such a great recruiting year and I can't wait to see Conor lead our defense next season.  Signing him makes us a totally different team.  He is great with the ball at his feet and he led his team in Ireland in goals with headers and free kicks. His leadership is something that we lacked last season."

Coach Wolz will announce his total recruiting class later in the week that includes 13 young players from Kentucky and others from oversees.
