Patriot track teams compete well at Berea

In the brief two year history of the St. Catharine College track program, there have often been meets where the Patriots failed to score points, or scored only two or three. But under Coach Blake Jones leadership the Patriots have already become competitive in many events.

Troy Mattingly earned the most points in the men’s meet with 12. The sophomore from Louisville was second in the high jump, fifth in the 1500 meter run and eighth in the pole vault.

Brandon Johnson earned nine points in the men’s division as the senior from Radcliff, Ky. was fifth in the 100 meter dash and fourth in the 200 meter dash. It was the first track meet of Johnson’s career.
