Patriots Take Down the Oaks

The Patriots (24-13) exploded for six runs in the second and never looked back, taking down the Oakland City University Oaks 14-0 in a game shortened by the 10-run rule Tuesday.  The Pat's scored in the first three innings and tacked on 6 runs in the sixth for the final margin.

Jake Waardenburg (Klamath Falls, OR) pitched his second straight complete game shutout in a row, going 7 innings.  He scattered 4 hits, had 4 K's and walked none.  Waardenburg moves to 4-0 this year.

At the plate, four Bat Pat's tallied 2 knocks each.  Juan Moriel (San Diego, CA) went 2-5 with 2 runs, 2 RBI's and 3 stolen bases.  CJ Englestad (Rohnert Park, CA) continued his hot streak, going 2-4 with a run, 3 RBI's and a double.  Luis Zeledon (West Corina, CA) added a 2 double day with 2 runs and a RBI and Eric Standafer (Shelbyville, KY) went 2-4 with a double and RBI.  Andrew Garcia (Las Vegas, NV) had a 1-2 day with 2 runs and 2 RBI's.

St. Catharine continues their road swing with a weekend trip to West Virginia Tech University.
