Women's Soccer Players Honored at Purple and Gold Banquet

Academic Awards Abound

Three women's soccer players received recognition for their academic endeavors at the annual Purple and Gold Awards banquet in the Spalding Center Cafeteria last night.

Lindsey Vinson, a sophomore Goalkeeper and Biology major, was named Outstanding Student in Biology.  The award was determined by the faculty of the Department of Natural Sciences.

Michelle Dunaway, a sophomore Midfielder and English major, was named Outstanding Student in English.  The award was determined by the faculty of the Department of English and Foreign Languages.

Megan Metcalf, a senior who played her first three years as a defender and forward for the women's soccer team, was named Outstanding Student in Sports Leadership.  The award was determined by the faculty of the Department of Sports Leadership and Health Promotion.

All three have been instrumental in the success of the Women's Soccer Team over the past 4 years have been great representatives of the program and the college as student-athletes.
