SCC Volleyball helps with local Autism event

Several volleyball players helped out at the Washington County Autism Group of Support fundraiser and presented a check for their donations for Aces for Autism from this past season.  Pictured above are the team leaders in Aces; Charlotte Jewell and Randa Murphy presented a check for $255 to one of the W.A.G.S. leaders, Katie Essex.

During the season the players raised pledges for $1 for every Ace that they would make in the season.  This was a record setting year with the team leading the conference with 255 Aces and having Charlotte Jewell not only lead the conference but ended the regular season with 76 Aces to lead the nation!

The players we excited to present this gift to the local Autism support group and also stayed for the event to help volunteer with the children's activities and silent auction.  We look forward to being envolved again next year with the W.A.G.S. team and hope to have another large donation from our annual Aces for Autism campaign, if you would like to be apart of the SCC Aces for Autism, please contact Coach Stevenson @ adamstevenson@sccky.edu.
