Baseball Snowed Out - But Finds Some Games

The season has been a white out so far this year. The Patriots were snowed out in their opening weekend in Arkansas, were snowed out Tuesday at Asbury College and have cancelled the home opening weekend with Indiana University Northwest slated for this weekend. But, Coach Bramblett and his staff have found a potential sunny spot in all of this dreary weather.

The Patriots hope to open their 2010 campaign in Henderson, TN this Saturday and Sunday against Harris Stowe State University. The Bat Pats will play at Freed-Hardeman University at 5:00 (1-7) on Saturday night and at 12:00 (DH) on Sunday.

"The weather has been really frustrating for everyone involved," noted Patriot Skipper Luther Bramblett. "We are very excited to have this opportunity to play at FHU. We are extremely thankful for Coach Estes, for hosting us and Harris Stowe and hope the weather misses us there as well."

Harris Stowe was 22-22 last year and have been in the same weather funk as SCC. "They have had the same snowy conditions that have plagued us. They will be just as excited as us to finally get going." The Patriots return most of the roster that led them to a 37-14 record last year.
