Baseball Add's Two at the Break

Patriot Head Coach Luther Bramblett has announced two additions to the roster for the 2010 season. Both players have enrolled in spring classes and are working out with the team. Freshmen Tyler Mischel and Zack Zieman, both transfers, have decided to call St. Catharine College home. Mischel transferred from Jefferson Community College in Missouri and Zieman transferred from the University of Cincinnati. Mischel will be eligible to play right away and Zieman will take a red-shirt year.

Tyler Mischel - UTL - 5-10 - 220

Tyler will compete at first base...Can play third as well...Also has seen time in the OF...Left handed hitter with pop...Batted .417 with 4HR and 12 doubles at Oakville High School in St. Louis Missouri...Named All District, All Metro and Honorable Mention All State.

Zack Zieman - RHP - 6-3 - 210

Zack will red shirt this year...Right handed pitcher with solid stuff...Pitches 85-88 and has topped at 92...Will have four years left.

"We are excited to get both guys here," stated Bramblett. "Both are good kids and are working hard and fitting right in. Tyler should compete right away for time in the lineup and a year for Zack is really going to help him."
