Fourteen St. Catharine Athletes Named to All-Conference Academic Team; Seven others make Honorable Mention All-ConferenceNovember 12, 2012
A total of 14 St. Catharine College athletes in fall sports were recently honored for making the All Mid-South Conference Academic Team. To qualify for the academic team an athlete must have a minimum grade point average of 3.25 and have achieved at least sophomore academic status.
From the men’s soccer team, Isaac Blanford, Derek Cissell and Ben Nally were named. The Patriot women’s soccer team had eight players on the academic team including Adrienne Bishop, Sarah Castillo, Porshia Clark, Michelle Dunaway, Morgan Ludwig, Paola Martinez, Krista Russell and Lindsey Vinson. From the SC volleyball team, Lauren Bowling, Allie Southard and Casey Stone earned the academic honor.
Seven Patriots were named to the Honorable Mention All-Mid South Conference team for their performance on the field. Ashley Woods garnered that honor with men’s soccer while Adrienne Bishop, Lindsey Vinson and Paola Martinez did so from the women’s soccer team. Randa Murphy, Allie Southard and Rebecca Just received Honorable Mention in volleyball.
