Three Baseball Players Named NAIA Player to Watch

As the spring season approaches, the Patriots have another set of players honored by Collegiate Baseball magazine as 2013 NAIA Player's to Watch.  Seniors Carlos Hernandez and Ryan Rizzi, along with junior Bruce Tolliver have been named.  The Bat Pats have had a player named by the publication in each year of Bramblett's tenure.

"It's a great honor for our program and those players," noted Luther Bramblett.  "Each one of those guys have worked hard this fall and will be keys to the success of our program this year."

Carlos Hernandez returns for his senior year after a season ending injury last year.  In 2011, Hernandez led the Patriots with a .360 average which placed him on the MSC 1st Team All Confernce.  He had 67 hits, 15 of those doubles, knocked in 30 and scored 43 times.

Bruce Tolliver is new to the Patriots this year.  The junior played at Santa Ana College last year, going 4-1 for the Don's.  He had a 3.91 ERA in 46 innings.  He tallied 44 K's in those 46 innings.
