
Women's Soccer Players Earn Recognition
March 7, 2013Since the end of the 2012 Soccer Season in mid November, members of the St. Catharine Women's Soccer team have earned recognition for their efforts both on and off the field.
Three players were named Honorable Mention All Mid-South Conference: Paola Martinez, Adrienne Bishop, and Lindsey Vinson.
Eight players were named Mid-South Conference All Academic (must be a sophomore or higher with a 3.25 GPA): Krista Russell, Paola Martinez, Sarah Castillo, Adrienne Bishop, Michelle Dunaway, Lindsey Vinson, Porshia Clark, and Morgan Ludwig.
Four players were name Daktronics NAIA Scholar Athletes (must be a junior or higher with a 3.5 GPA): Krista Russell, Sarah Castillo, Adrienne Bishop, and Michelle Dunaway.
Four players made the Fall Term 2012 Dean's List (must earn a semester GPA of 3.6 or higher): Morgan Ludwig, Kelsey Hayden, Madisen Phillips, and Shelby Rush.
Five players made the Fall Term 2013 President's List (must earn a semester GPA of 4.0): Michelle Dunaway, Porshia Clark, Zomi Dickson, Danielle Thompson, and Laura Turner.
The following team awards were voted on by team members and conferred:
Most Improved Player: Tiffany Landrum
Rookie of the Year: Shelby Rush
Outstanding Defender: Adrienne Bishop
Outstanding Attacker: Paola Martinez
Most Valuable Player: Sara Herbert
Coaches Award: Caitlin Campbell
