Baseball Signs First Transfer for 2014

The Patriots have received a commitment from left handed hitting first baseman Dominique Guevara at Oxnard College in Oxnard, CA.  He becomes the first transfer for the Patriot staff for the 2014 class.

Guevara is a 6-3, 225 pound first baseman.  He is currently hitting .320 with 2 doubles and a homerun for the 15-15 Condors.  He has knocked in 18 and has scored 19 times. The lefty has a .415 OBP, hitting in the Oxnard 3 hole.  Defensively he has just 2 errors in over 250 chances and is fielding .992.

"Dom is a solid left handed hitter," noted Bat Pat recruiting coordinator Terry Davis.  "We graduate three lefties in our lineup and needed to replace some of that.  Dominique has shown the ability to get on base, drive in runs and be a team player.  He also defends very well and we are pleased to get him."
