Bat Pats Haul in Numerous All-Conference Awards

How the St. Catharine College baseball team will fare in the Mid-South Conference tournament is yet to be seen. But at Wednesday’s conference banquet, many of Luther Bramblett’s players were named individual winners. A total of sixteen awards were won by eleven different SC players.

Named to the Mid-South Conference First Team were second baseman K.C. Mejia, center fielder Carlos Hernandez and pitcher Dylan Shoffner.

Garnering a spot on the All-Conference Second Team were catcher Joey Andrada, first baseman/outfielder Joey Xavier, designated hitter Tyler Mischel and pitcher Eddie Rivera.

Receiving the Golden Glove Award for the best defensive player at their position were Andrada, Hernandez and Shoffner. Named to the Academic All-Conference team, which requires a minimum GPA of 3.25 and at least a sophomore academic status, were Andrew Nelson, Evan Smith, Josh Whitmer, Joey Andrada, Eddie Rivera and Francisco Gonzalez.
