Soccer Signs Mercy Goalkeeper

Patriot Women's Soccer Head Coach Paul Patton is proud to announce the signing of Lauren Lee, a 5'6" Goalkeeper from Mercy Academy in Louisville, Kentucky.

Lauren is the daughter of Jennifer and Larry Lee. She was the starting Goalkeeper for Coach Mariah Gratz' Mercy Jaguars team that were District 12 and Region 6 Runners-up in 2010 and won the District 24 and Region 6 Championships in 2012. Lauren was named All District in 2009, 2011, 2012 and earned All Region 12 and All-State Honorable Mention accolades as a Senior in 2012. She was also named to the Male Bulldog Cup 2009 All-Tournament Team as well as the Barren County Classic All-Tournament Team during her high school career. She also played club soccer for United 1996 FC as well as the Derby City Rossoneri.

"Lauren is a solid 'keeper that works hard and has a great attitude at practice and in matches," commented Coach Patton.  "She will give us immediate depth at goalkeeper, and I am sure that she will be a strong player for us."

Lauren has also earned recognition in the classroom, as a regular member of the Honor-Roll and a member of the National Honor Society. Lauren plans to study Radiography at St. Catharine.
