Women's Soccer Announces New Assistant Coach

Katie Walker to assume duties on August 1

Patriot Head Coach Paul Patton is proud to announce the newest addition to the St. Catharine Women's Soccer coaching staff. Katie Walker will assume the Assistant Coach duties on August 1 on a full-time basis.

Katie hails from Novi, Michigan and graduated from Novi High School in 2006. While at Novi, Katie was a part of the team that won back to back state championships in 2005 and 2006. Katie also played for the Michigan Hawks club team from U-9 through U-18. For her U-19 season she joined the Bloomfield Force and was a member of their National Champion team in 2008.

She then went on to attend Western Kentucky University and played soccer from 2006-2009. Katie was voted defensive player of the year in 2008 and 2009. She graduated from WKU in December 2010 with a bachelors degree in exercise science.

After graduation, Katie returned home to Michigan and earned her Masters Degree in exercise physiology from Wayne State University. During and after college, Katie spent time as a coach at Sky Soccer club and Warren East High School in Bowling Green, Kentucky, as well as the Michigan Hawks Academy and Canton High School in Canton, Michigan.
