Patriots Keep Pace with Thorobreds

The St. Catharine Patriots (8-5, 2-1 MSC) took their volleyball show on the road Wednesday to visit the Kentucky State Thorobreds (0-3).

After dropping the fifth set to Georgetown on Tuesday the Patriots were ready to get back on track, and they did just that winning 3-1 over KSU. After falling in the first set, St. Catharine dominated the Thorobreds 10-25, 18-25, and 20-25. The Patriots were led by Rebecca Just with her 14 kills and setter Abbey Sorrells and her match high 35 assists. “It helps to get on the road and get a win after losing such a tough match to Georgetown” says Head Coach Jason McDannold. “This team was able to overcome a possible letdown and trudge on.”

The Patriots will return to action Saturday when they travel to Oakland City to Face the Mighty Oaks (3-0).
