Men's Bowling Finishes 7th at Green River Classic

The Patriot Men's Bowling team kicked off their season Saturday at the Green River Classic in Campbellsville.

The Patriots had a solid start to their season finishing eighth out of 16 teams with a five game total of 4,381. The Patriots finished a mere 40 pins from moving up a spot in the rankings and were able to pull away from ninth by 30. St. Catharine was led by Craig Cox (Louisville, Ky.) with his five game total of 972, giving him his first top 10 of the season with a 10th overall out of 127 bowlers and just one pin shy of ninth. Right behind Cox with a 925 was junior Billy Lundy (Bardstown, Ky.) with a 23rd place finish.

The Patriots will continue their quest for a Mid-South Championship October 26 at the Southern Kentucky Collegiate Classic in Bowling Green.
