Women's Soccer Drops Road Game Against #1 Lindsey Wilson College

The Patriot Women's Soccer team was looking for a strong showing at NAIA #1 ranked Lindsey Wilson College on Tuesday, October 1.

The Patriots battled and managed to stay even with a 1-1 score for the first 27 minutes. After conceding an early goal, the Patriots stormed back behind a goal from Junior Chelsey Landrum. During the early parts of the match they also managed to hit the crossbar on a shot from Courtney Anderson and a free kick from Courtney Hagedorn just skimmed over the goal.

However, it was not to be on this day as the Blue Raiders scored several more times before the half on second chance balls to put the score out of reach. In the end, Lindsey Wilson cruised to victory as the Patriots dropped to 7-3-0 overall and 2-2 in Mid-South Conference play.

The Patriots return to action on Friday, October 4th at 2pm against Georgetown College. The match will be followed by a men's soccer match at 4pm also against Georgetown. The matches will be our "Pink Day", as both the women's and men's teams will be wearing pink to raise awareness and funds for Breast Cancer research.
