Women's Soccer Adds Ashby

Oldham County High School girls soccer standout, Bryce Ashby, is the latest addition to the Patriot Women's Soccer 2014 recruiting class.

Bryce made it official by signing an NAIA scholarship contract in the Oldham County High School conference room on Friday.  Present for the signing were her family, coaches, and members of the Oldham County Lady Colonels Soccer team.

Bryce played outside midfield for both Oldham County and her club team, United 1996 FC.  She was named to the All 29th District team in 2013 and was a mainstay on the Oldham County Lady Colonels Soccer team that won the 8th Region Championship in 2012 and 2013 as well as earning a birth in the Kentucky State Soccer Tournament Final-Four in 2013.

Bryce excels in the classroom as well as the soccer field.  She is a regular on the OCHS Honor Roll and is a member of the Beta Club.  Bryce plans to study Biology at St. Catharine.

Patriot Head Coach, Paul Patton, noted, "Bryce is a strong player with good foot skills and speed.  She has played on outstanding Oldham County teams the past two years with many excellent players for teammates.  The level of play she is used to should make it easy for her step into the college game this fall.  We are excited that she has chosen to be a part of our program!"
