The Patriots scored 2 goals and didn't allow a goal in a gritty battle against a tough Berea College at the Barber Soccer Complex on the campus of St Catharine College. St Catharine outshot the visitors 17 to 12 with CJ Powell making four saves for the game. Powell leads the Mid-South Conference and ranks 10th nationally with a .058 goals against average and ranks 26th nationally in saves.

The first goal occured in the 14th minute when Marvin Wesselburg placed a corner kick to Joe Jessop who headed in his first goal of the year. CJ Powell kept Berea out of the scoring sheet with a tremendous save late in the first half diving to his right and tipping the ball wide of the net.

The scored remained 1-0 as the second half began. In the 71st minute St Catharine hit the crossbar on a free kick and the rebound was headed in by freshman Ross Brown for his first goal of the season. This made the score 2-0. The Patriots continually attacked Berea's goal hitting the post on 5 different occasions.

This win took the team to a record of 6-2, 2-0 in the Mid-South Conference. They still sit at the top of the table by a slim margin over nationally ranked number one Lindsey Wilson College.
