Lady Alley Pats shine at Campbellsville

     The Patriot women’s bowling team opened their season in striking fashion as they competed in the Green River Classic at Phillips Lanes in Campbellsville, Ky. over the weekend.

     The Patriots were led by Amanda Conrad (Louisville, Ky.) who bowled a five game total of 890. Conrad’s highest game came in the fifth game where she snagged a 216. Conrad’s 890 earned her a fifth place finish in the women’s individual, as she finished eight pins behind fourth place.

     Tiffany Webb (Louisville, Ky.) also turned in a strong performance as she finished in 11th place. Webb turned in a five game total of 851. Webb finished three pins out of 10th, nine pins out of ninth, and 12 pins out of eighth place. Webb’s game high came in the fourth game where she bowled a 205.

     The Patriots as a team also turned in a strong performance finishing in fourth place. The “Alley Pats” finished with a total score of 5997. The Patriots finished ahead of other Mid-South Conference teams including: Lindsey Wilson College, Union College, Bethel University, and Cumberland University. The Patriots also finished higher than NCAA Division I powerhouse Morehead State University, who finished in eighth place.

     The Lady “Alley Pats” will return to action on October 4-5 where they will travel to Bowling Green, Ky. to compete in the Southern Kentucky Classic.
