Point Park University

In their first game back since October 8, the Patriots took on the Pioneers of Point Park University (9-8, 4-1 KIAC).

In the first half, the Pioneers struck the scoreboard first five minutes into the game when Jasmine Meichele was able to bend her corner kick into the back of the net to give the Pioneers a 1-0 lead. Jerrica Kidd (Stanford, Ky.) was called upon and made two key saves to keep the Patriots within striking distance. The Pioneers would add to their lead in the 35th minute when Erin Gilmartin made a cross through the box to Alyson Joyce who put it in the back of the net to give the Pioneers a 2-0 lead. Defense would hold for the remaining 10 minutes as the Pioneers took a 2-0 lead into halftime.

In the second half the Patriots would finally get on the scoreboard in the 51st minute when Sara Herbert (Louisville, Ky.) found a cutting Courtney Anderson (Louisville, Ky.) who then found the back of the net to cut the Pioneer led in half at 2-1. The Pioneers would strike again three minutes later in the 54th minute to extend their lead 3-1.
