Catron To Play For Patriots

Tuesday, April 14 - George Rogers Clark High School Soccer's 2008 Defensive MVP, Rex Catron, will play collegiate soccer at St. Catharine College. Catron signed to play for the Patriots in the George Rogers Clark library, while friends and family looked on. Catron played Midfield for GRC Coach Greg Dyk and was named to the 2007 All Region team and the 2008 All District team as well winning the aforementioned Defensive MVP award.

Patriot Coach Paul Patton was pleased to sign his second GRC player in as many years. "I am excited to be back at George Rogers Clark," stated Patton. "Rex is a quality player that will help our team improve and grow. While he is not necessarily flashy, Rex is solid in every area of the game, and he has a strong defensive mentality. I think that will make him a valuable addition to our squad."
