Patriots Ink Mercer County Standout

Samantha Travillian lastest Soccer signee.

Samantha Travillian, a standout soccer player from Mercer County High School officially joined the St. Catharine Women's Soccer team on Wednesday when she signed her NAIA scholarship contract.

During her 5 years playing for Mercer County High School, Travillian played striker, center midfield, and central defender.  She also played outside defender for her club team, the JYSA Storm.  Samantha finished her career as a Senior Captain of the team and earned recognition as All Region 12 in 2013 as well as leading the state in assists (34) in 2011 and finishing the top 15 in assists in 2012.

Samantha has also earned recognition for her work in the classroom as she was named Academic All State in 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014.  She plans to study English at St. Catharine with a goal of becoming a high school English Teacher.  At her signing, Samantha noted, "I am very excited to have the opportunity to continue my soccer career at the collegiate level and become a St. Catharine Patriot!"
