Scc Inks Ohio All-stater

Friday, May 8 - Patriot Soccer Coach Paul Patton has added another piece to the SCC Soccer team. Isaac Blanford, an All-State forward for Waverly High School in Ohio, signed an NAIA letter of intent to play for St. Catharine in the Waverly Library today. "Isaac should help us right away," noted Patton. "He is a player that can put the ball in the net. I am excited to get someone who can score, and sets up others to score as well."

In addition to being named All-State as a senior, Isaac earned many accolades during his time a Waverly. Those awards include twice being named MVP of the team, three time All-Conference, Conference Player of the Year in 2008, two time 2nd Team All-District, 1st Team All-District in 2008, and Team Captain as a senior. His career scoring marks of 55 goals and 34 assists rank Second and Third on the school record books, respectively; and his season scoring mark of 33 goals in 2008 ranks 2nd all time at Waverly. Isaac plans to study Human Resources management at SCC.
