Patriot Soccer Inks Butler Standout

Friday, May 29 - Travis Young, a standout soccer player from Butler Traditional High School in Louisville, signed an NAIA letter of intent with St. Catharine College today. In a ceremony held in the Butler High Gymnasium, Travis made it official while surrounded by his family, coaches, and classmates. Young, who played midfield and forward for Coach Alan Furgason at Butler, earned All District Honors all four years of High School, as well as earning All Region honors, and being named to the All Tournament team in both the Male Bulldog Cup and the Colt Cup. Travis also played soccer for Mockingbird Valley Soccer Club Premier. Travis plans to study Nursing at St. Catharine.

"I am excited to get to play at St. Catharine!" beamed Travis. SCC Coach Paul Patton was similarly excited. "Travis will be a great addition to our team. With this signing, our recruiting class is really coming together." he noted. "I am happy that Travis is joining us, I expect he will make an impact right away."
