Patriot Women show improvement in Day Two

Results

     The Patriot women’s golf team has now completed two rounds of the 2015 Bardstown LEE’s Famous Recipe Mid-South Conference Championship at Bardstown Country Club at Maywood after they completed the second round of play today.

     The Patriot women struggled in the opening round on Sunday, but come Monday, they began to find their swing.

     Ashley McKenty (Benton, Ky.) made the best improvement out of everyone on the team. McKenty finished the first round with a 106, but she improved in the second round shooting 12 strokes better with a 94.

     Taylor Ritchie (Winchester, Ky.) and Brianna Cornett (Danville, Ky.) also showed improvement in the second round. Ritchie and Cornett completed the first round with a 100. They continued to follow in their footsteps in the second round when they each carded a 96.

     Drew Ison (Winchester, Ky.) like her teammates also improved in the second round. Ison carded a 112 in the opening round on Sunday, but fought back and improved in the second round where she finished with a 103.

     The Patriots as a team finished the second round with a 389. The University of the Cumberlands continues to lead the seven team field after two rounds.

     The Patriot women are back at it tomorrow for the final round of the Mid-South Conference Championship with a shotgun start set for 8:30 a.m. ET. To follow along with the team click here.
