Patriot Volleyball lands Marion County Standout

St. Catharine, Ky. – The St. Catharine College volleyball team has signed athletes from all over the state, but head coach Jason McDannold didn’t have to go far for his latest signing.

Kaitlyn Rollins, a senior from Marion County High School in Lebanon, Ky., signed her scholarship to join the Patriot volleyball program in 2015-16. Rollins has been a standout for the Knights for the last four seasons.

Rollins will provide help to the Patriot hitters that graduated three senior hitters from last season. She was named player of the match in numerous matches while at Marion County.

Not only will she provide help on the court, but she will also help out the team’s GPA. While at Marion County, she was a familiar face on the honor roll list.

“It’s always great to be able to keep the local talent close to home,” said Patriot head coach, Jason McDannold. “You can never have enough kids from the surrounding counties.”

McDannold continued to speak highly of Kaitlyn saying, “Kaitlyn will provided a boost for us next season both on the court and in the classroom. She is a great player and an even better student in the classroom.”

Kaitlyn stated that she plans on pursuing a degree in nursing during her time at St. Catharine.
