Men's Basketball Opens Season Tonight

St. Catharine, Ky. – The St. Catharine College men’s basketball team will get its season underway tonight at 7 p.m. ET when they travel to New Albany, Indiana to take on Indiana University Southeast.

The Patriots are coming off an 11-18 record overall last season, but this year St. Catharine will welcome new faces to the sideline. Head Coach, Joe Krupinski, and his assistant coach, Jamie Jackson, will be making their coaching debuts tonight for the Patriots.

Last year the Grenadiers compiled an 8-16 record overall. The Grenadiers have already opened their 2015-16 slate when they lost to Harris-Stowe State (Mo.), 73-51, on Saturday, October 24th.

The two teams split a pair of meetings last season. IU Southeast took the first meeting on November 1st, 102-99 in a high-scoring affair. The Patriots would win their final meeting on December 12th, 76-70.

St. Catharine will be holding their home opener this coming Friday when they host Union (Ky.) at 7 p.m. in Lourdes Hall.
