Reserve Finish Season with Two Matchs Versus ECTC

The Patriot Reserve Squad finished their season with two matches versus ECTC.

On the road at ECTC, the Patriots had a rough match, dropping it by the score of 4-0.  However, on the return trip to St. Catharine, the Patriots put up a much stiffer fight, taking a tie into the final 5 minutes off a goal by Mary Ezaizat that was assisted by Michaela Sebastian.  Unfortunately for the Patriots, the Barons from ECTC scored in the 86th minute to take the lead and held on for the 2-1 victory.  The losses put the Reserve Squads record at 2-5-1 on the season.

"The record wasn't what we had hoped it would be," commented Patriot Coach Paul Patton.  "We started with a great win on the road against Penn State Beaver, a team that was on the Varsity schedule last season.  We had a couple of breaks that went our way, and a couple of injuries on Varsity that moved some people on to the Varsity dress list that shortened the roster.  We also had a slew of games cancelled by opponents due to injury or illness.  Through the adversity, we played hard and we played well.  The results weren't always what we wanted, but I am proud of the team's spirit, effort, hard work, and dedication.
