Wolz To Coach Patriots Soccer

Tuesday, January 26 - St. Catharine College Athletic Director, Mike Doig announced a reorganization of the coaching staff for the Patriot Soccer Programs today. Beginning February 1, Tim Wolz will become the new Head Men's Soccer Coach while current Men's and Women's Coach, Paul Patton will continue on as the Head Women's Soccer Coach (see related story in Women's Soccer).

Tim Wolz comes to St. Catharine with 23 years of coaching experience which include 12 previous years of college coaching; 8 years at The University of the Cumberland’s (2002 Mid South Conference Coach of The year), 2 years at Eckerd College, and 2 years at Coker College.

Tim has coached both Men’s and Women’s college teams in his career. During his tenure at The University of the Cumberlands, Tim spent 3 years as an assistant coach and 5 years as the Head Women’s Soccer Coach. He is second in all time wins and the team made the regional tournament 4 out of the 5 years he was Head Coach. Under Tim’s guidance, the team finished as high as #9 in the country. All 8 years, the team led the conference with student-athletes on the All Mid South Conference Academic team.

Currently Tim serves as an Assistant Coach with the Louisville Lightning men’s professional indoor soccer team in Louisville, Kentucky. Tim is also the Academy Coordinator for Mockingbird Valley Soccer and the Head Coach for a U-12 Girls team. Coach Wolz's experience and familiarity with the Mid South Conference and NAIA make him an excellent fit for the St. Catharine College Soccer Program.
