Soccer Signs Second Nelson County Player

Wednesday, April 22 - Nicolette Catlett became the second Nelson County High School girls soccer player to join the St. Catharine College Soccer Program this spring when she signed an NAIA letter of intent in a ceremony in the NCHS Meda Center today. Nicolette played outside midfield for Nelson County Coach Andrea 'Bug' Brown and won both the "Coachable Award" and the "110% Award" during her high school years. Nicolette also competed in Track for 1 year at Nelson County as well as playing club soccer for Nelson Elite. Catlett was excited about her big day, gushing "Yea, I finally signed! I can't wait to play!"

SCC Coach Paul Patton was also excited, noting "Nicolette will be a very good player for us, if not right away, certainly in the future. She is versatile and can help the team in a lot of ways." Nicolette plans to study Wellness, including exercise science and nutrition, at St. Catharine.
