Patriots Get First Ever Msc Win

Tuesday, October 6 - The SCC Lady Patriots soccer team played host to the University of Rio Grande for a Mid South Conference match today. In a driving rain, the Lady Patriots scored in each half to earn the team's first ever Mid South Conference victory by the score of 2-0. Krista Russell scored the first goal off an assist from Natalie Hurst. Russell also provided the assist on Nicolette Catlett's second half goal that capped off the scoring. Lee Ann Walker played strong in goal to earn the shutout; the fourth of the year for SCC.

The win also put the Lady Patriots over the entire season win total of 2008. SCC currently holds a record of 5-3-1 on the season. Next up, the lady Patriots go on the road Thursday to face Berea College at 7:00 pm.
