Patriots Sign Emilie Bell from Bethlehem High School

Tuesday, May 11 - St. Catharine College Volleyball Coach Adam Stevenson signed Emilie Bell for the class of 2010 from Bethlehem High School today. Emilie signed a NAIA letters of intent to officially join the SCC volleyball program in a ceremony at the Bethlehem High School library.

Emilie played Defensive Specialist for Bethlehem and was honored on the All-Region Team for the past three years, led Bethlehem in Assists in 06 and 07, KY Touchstone Energy All-Tournament Team, and has been an assistant coach for several elementary volleyball teams. She was a member of the softball team, choir, TLC, Green Thumb Club, and Spirit Club. Emilie played club volleyball at MAVA for two years as a defensive specialist and setter. She plans to major in Nursing at SCC.
“I really love the campus at St. Catharine, Emilie stated, as it is small enough that you will get to know everyone. I also heard great things about the Nursing program and I am excited to be a part of the volleyball program as it begins to build a new tradition.”
"I am very pleased to have Emilie added to a great recruiting class for 2010," stated Coach Stevenson. "She has a great desire to compete, improve, and play up to the potential I see in her. I think she will be able to have a great impact right from the beginning as she will greatly improve our back row and defense for St. Catharine."
