Curtsinger Joins Women's Soccer

Wednesday, January 5, 2011 - Patriot Women's Soccer Coach Paul Patton is pleased to announce the signing of Kayla Curtsinger to the women's soccer squad.

Kayla plans to study Elementary Education at SCC.  She is a 2009 graduate of Nelson County High School where she played outside mid-fielder for Coach Bug Brown's Cardinal squad.  Kayla also played for Mike Veech's Nelson Elite club team during the spring.  Coach Patton recruited Kayla in 2009 prior to her graduation, but at the time, she chose to attend Western Kentucky University instead.

"I am excited to see Kayla join our program," said Coach Patton.  "Sometimes players miss the game and change their minds about playing at the college level.  I am glad that we could still make it possible for Kayla to play at St. Catharine.  She will get a chance to make an impact on our team right away, as she is enrolling for this spring and will get to go through all of our off-season workouts.  It's a good day to be a Patriot!"
