Carr named Mid-South Player of the Week

Junior guard notches double-double against Campbellsville

Kashiff Carr, a 6-6 guard, was named the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week for the week of February 14-20.  

 The announcement Monday from the conference office gave the honor to a St. Catharine College player for the second consecutive week. Antoine Watson, a junior guard received the recognition the previous week.

Carr, a junior from Philadelphia, had a double-double in the Patriots’ 78-76 overtime win at Campbellsville on Saturday. He scored 27 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. In the week’s other game, a 113-105 loss at Life University, Carr had 22 points and five rebounds.

Carr transferred from Angelina (TX.) Community College this year and was not eligible at St. Catharine until the second semester. In the 15 games he has played Carr is averaging 21 points a game and is shooting 54 percent from the field. He has scored in double figures in 13 of the 15 games.
