Patriots Sign Olivia Thompson from Washington County

Tuesday, March 1 - St. Catharine College Volleyball Coach Adam Stevenson and Softball Coach Holly Smith signed Olivia Thompson for the class of 2011 from Washington County High School today.

Olivia signed a NAIA letter of intent to officially join the SCC volleyball and softball programs in a ceremony at the Washington County High School library.

Olivia played Defensive Specialist and Catcher for Washington County and was honored on the District All-tournament team, led the team with aces and won the scholastic Award.  In softball she received the hustle award and led the team in batting average and on base percentage.  She was a member of the DECA, FCCLA, Pep Club and BETA Club. 

She plans to major in education at SCC.


"I am pleased to have Olivia added to a great recruiting class for 2011," stated Coach Stevenson.  "She has a great desire to compete, improve, and play up to the potential I see in her.  I think she will be a great addition to our program as she will develop into a solid player for St. Catharine."
