Baseball Drops Tilt with Trevecca

The Patriots (25-19-1, 10-10) dropped a mid-week game with #31 Trevecca University (25-15) Wednesday 18-11.  The game was to be a home match up, but was played at IUS in New Albany, IN.

The Bat Pats banged out 17 hits in the nine inning affair, but gave up 24 knocks to the Trojans.  Alan Stoupa (McLean, VA) led the way for SC, going 5-6 with a homerun and double.  He added 3 RBI's and scored a run.  Luis Zeledon (Los Angeles, CA) also homered while finishing the day 3-5 with 2 RBI's and a run.  Ryan Mangione (Lexington, KY) went 3-4 with 2 runs and Carlos Hernandez (Fresno, CA) was 2-4 with 2 runs scored.

Timothy Reed (Tucson, AZ) suffered the loss in the start.  Anthony Thorn (Elizabethtown, KY), Nick Houlehan (Florence, KY) tossed the middle innings and Taylor Boone (Shelbyville, KY) and Scott Clemmons (Shelbyville, KY) hurled 3 scoreless innings to close the game.

The Patriots travel to Georgetown College (21-20, 10-10) for weekend Mid-South Conference action.  They play at 3:00.
