Women's Soccer Reserve Squad Splits First Two Matches

The St. Catharine Women's Soccer Reserve Squad has played two matches thus far this year, winning one and losing the other.

The first match was a trip to McKenzie, Tennessee to play Bethel College. After falling behind 2-0, the Patriots fought back to tie the score at 4-4 with 10 minutes remaining off two goals and an assist from Paige Long and two goals from Kayla Curtsinger. However, the Lady Patriots gave up a late goal to drop the match by a 5-4 score.

The second match was a trip to Lindsey Wilson College. The Patriots defense was much stronger this match, only giving up 1 goal for the game. Two goals by Mallory Arneson, one in each half, secured the 2-1 win. The Women's Soccer Reserve Squad will be in action again on September 17 versus Asbury College at noon. That match will be followed by a Varsity match against St. Mary of the Woods at 2pm.
