Patriot golfers finish third at Campbellsville; Darby makes all-tournament

            The St. Catharine men’s golf team finished third yesterday in the 36 hole Campbellsville University Invitational played at Campbellsville Country Club. Patriot senior Aaron Darby was selected to the all-tournament team as the Louisville native finished with a two day total of 148 (73-75). That was good for sixth place in the 49 player field.

 

 

            The Patriots carded a two-day total of 608. That trailed Campbellsville (594) and Lindsey Wilson (588). There were a total of eight teams in the tournament.

            Nick Patterson, a junior from Harrodsburg, finished with a 151 which put him 11th overall. Josh Edwards, a senior from Benton, Ky., had a 154 (75-79) for 14th place and Adam Nolte, a senior from Louisville, Ky., had a 155 (79-76) putting him in 17th place.

            The Patriot women finished seventh in the seven team field with an 832. Catherine Boone (Springfield, Ky.) had a 199 (97-102. Jordan Graham (Bardstown, Ky.) had a 200 (101-99), while Kelsey Lyvers (Bardstown, Ky.) and Ashley Pugh (Falmouth, Ky.) shot 208 (108-100) and 225 (109-166) respectively.

            The Patriot men will be back on the course Monday and Tuesday at Cherry Blossom Golf Course in a tournament hosted by Georgetown College.
