Signs to Play Soccer

Washington County High School senior Madisen Phillips signed an NAIA Scholarship Contract to play collegiate soccer at St. Catharine College yesterday.

Phillips, who played Goalkeeper for Seamus Marrinan's Commanders squad at Washington County High School, was also the team Captain, was named Most Valuable Player of the team, and won the Highest Senior GPA award for the Fall 2011 season.  She is an outstanding student, having the highest GPA in Arts and Humanities and being a mainstay on the Honor Roll.  Madisen plans to study Chemistry with a goal of getting a graduate degree in Physical Therapy or Pharmacy.

"I am happy to welcome Madisen to the St. Catharine Soccer family," stated Patriot Coach Paul Patton.  "She is a great student, a hard worker, and has a great attitude.  I look forward to coaching her next season!"
