9 Patriot Baseball Players Named To All-Conference Teams

The Mid-South Conference has announced the 2009 All-Conference Teams and nine Patriot players find their names listed among the best players in the conference. Junior pitcher Travis Adams was named to the first team and was the lone Bat Pat to receive that honor. Juniors Brian Jones, Patrick Jones and Justin Witt were named honorable mention, as were sophomores Tim Paxton and Shane Young. Three Patriots were named Academic All-Conference and they were Adam Blair, Morgan Jones and Chris Smith.

"We are extremely proud of our guys named," noted Head Coach Luther Bramblett. "These guys have been the heartbeat of our team this year and we're happy that they get this honor."

This is the first year for the Patriots to compete in the NAIA and the Mid-South Conference. They are currently 32-14 and will finish their regular season this Friday at Oakland City University.
