Hagan Goldey, a junior shortstop from Lancaster, Ky., was named Monday as the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week for the games played April 1-7.
Goldey hit .579 (11-for-19) last week with three home runs to earn the award. She recorded hits in all six of the Patriots' games last week, including a pair of three-hit games as St. Catharine finished the week with a 5-1 record. In addition to her two three-hit games, Goldey went 2-for-2 with a pair of solo home runs in St. Catharine's 8-7 win over Asbury University.
Goldey completed the week scoring 10 runs while driving in five. She finished with a 1.158 slugging percentage.
This season, Goldey leads the MSC with an .815 slugging percentage and is tied for the most home runs with 10. She ranks second in the conference with a .435 batting average and is tied for third in triples (2) and tied for fourth in stolen bases (16).
