Washington County native, Laura Turner, became the latest player to sign on to the Patriots' 2012 Women's Soccer recruiting class today.
Laura is the daughter of Danela and Danile Zevotek and graduated from Washington County High School in 2010. She has been working in Louisville ever since. Now, with a desire to earn a degree in Education and to once again play soccer, she will attend St. Catharine College this fall and join the Women's Soccer team. Laura played midfield for Coach McConnel at Washington County High School when they competed as a boys team, but had several female players.
"Even though she will be a first year student in college, Laura will not be a typical freshman," commented Patriot Coach Paul Patton. "Having been out working the past two years, Laura will bring a certain level of maturity to our recruiting class. With a large group of freshmen this year, that will be needed. We are glad to have her join the team, and I am sure that she will take advantage of the opportunity."
