Three more transfers have decided to wear the Purple and Gold next year for the Bat Pat Baseball team. Two more arms and an infielder continue to bolster an impressive recruiting year for the Patriot Baseball staff.
"We're excited about our class so far," stated recruiting coordinator Terry Davis. "We've been able to attract some quality kids and players to our program and we expect all of them to step in and compete right away."
Quintin Alexander (Chicago, IL), an infielder from St. Joesph's College, batted .210 while fielding .933. This summer for the Fulton Railroaders in the Ohio Valley Collegiate Baseball League, Alexander is hitting .319 with 22 runs and a .437 OBP. He has added 6 bags and has knocked in 6 as well.
Justin Kruse (Chula Vista, CA), a pitcher from Southwestern College, went 4-2 in 39 innings with a 2.27 ERA. He had 25 punchouts to just 6 base on balls. As a freshman, Kruse tossed 92 innings with a 6-3 record. He tallied 54 K's to just 23 walks and had a 2.84 ERA.
James Dyer (Albany, KY), a pitcher from Wabash Valley College. Dyer is coming off of arm surgery and is playing for the Marion Bobcats in the Ohio Valley League. He is 1-3 in just 7 months from Tommy John.
