The St. Catharine College Women's Soccer Reserve Squad took on two very different opponents this weekend with similar results. The Patriots lost to both the Asbury University Eagles Reserve Squad and the Kaskaskia College Blue Angels.
On Friday, the Patriots traveled to Wilmore, Kentucky to play against Asbury's Reserve Squad. Erin Jones scored on a through ball to put the Patriots up 1-0. From that point on it would be all Asbury as the Eagles scored twice before halftime and twice in the second half to earn the 4-1 victory.
On Saturday, the Patriots would host Kaskaskia College, a junior college from Illinois that made the six hour trip to play at St. Catharine and then take on Elizabethtown Community and Technical College on Sunday. Kaskaskia controlled the match from the outset and scored three by the halftime intermission. The Blue Angels would add another three goals in the second half to win the match 6-0.
The two losses give Patriot Reserves a 2-3 record on the season.
