The Patriot Women's Soccer team traveled to Tennessee to take on the Trojans from Trevecca Nazarene University. In a hard fought match that lasted two overtimes, the teams fought to a 0-0 tie.
Last season, Trevecca defeated St. Catharine 4-0 at home. This year, the Patriots were looking to return the favor on the the Trojans home field in Nashville. The match was played at a furious pace, and both teams had their chances. The Patriots earned 3 shots on goal while the trojans took 14 shots on goal. Both goalkeepers made big saves, but St. Catharine's Lindsey Vinson stood tall, making 14 saves to hold the Trojans scoreless for 110 minutes.
The tie gives the Patriots a four game unbeaten streak and moves their record to 2-1-2 after 5 games. Next up, the Patriots begin conference play on Tuesday with a home match against second ranked Lindsey Wilson College.
