EZAIZAT PICKS PATRIOTS

Garrard County standout signs with St. Catharine

The St. Catharine Women's Soccer team announces the signing of Mary Ezaizat, a standout player from Garrard County High School.  Mary signed an NAIA scholarship contract in front of family and friends at Garrard County High this morning.

Ezaizat is the daughter of Sal and Alice Ezaizat, and plans to study Education at St. Catharine, with a goal of graduating in four years and becoming a teacher.  She is an outstanding student, having been a mainstay on the honor roll and being named 2012 Student of the Year for Garrard County.

In addition to her academics, Mary excels on the soccer pitch, playing midfield and forward for Coach Andy Floyd's Lady Lions team the past four years.  Mary was named team Captain her senior year, and was named to the All District 45 team in 2012.

Patriot Coach Paul Patton, present at the signing noted, "Mary is an outstanding student and a strong soccer player.  She will be a great fit for our school and our soccer program.  I am sure that she will represent us well.  We are excited that she is joining our program today."
