Savannah Gregorchik signed an NAIA scholarship contract at Eastern High School Thursday to officially become the newest member of the St. Catharine College Women's Soccer Program.
Gregorchik is the daughter of Chris and Kira Gregorchik and has been a standout soccer player for both Eastern High School and the Thoroughbreds Soccer Club. Savannah was a four year varsity team member who primarily played at forward for Coach Doug Robb at Eastern. There, she earned the Offensive MVP award as well as being named to the District 28 All Tournament team in 2012. Savannah played both midfield and forward for Coach Rock Thompson's Thoroughbred's U-17 team that were 2012 President's Cup Champions.
Savannah is also strong in the classroom. She is a four year member of the Eastern High School A-B Honor Roll. She also earned recognition for three years as Distinguished Solo and Ensemble as a member of the Symphonic Band. Savannah plans to major in Liberal Arts at St. Catharine with a goal of graduating and then earning a Master's Degree in Library Science.
Patriot Coach Paul Patton, in attendance for the signing remarked, "We are excited that Savannah has chosen to join us at St. Catharine. She is a strong soccer player and strong in the classroom. I am positive that she will be a great addition to our program and will represent St. Catharine well. I look for Savannah to make a positive impact on our offensive play this fall."
