If you like college sports you will want to be at St. Catharine College this Saturday. In a time span of about eight hours, fans can watch the Patriots play volleyball, soccer and baseball.
“Saturday will be a great opportunity to see many of our teams in action,” said SC athletic director mike Doig. “We will be playing conference games in volleyball and in men’s and women’s soccer. Pay one price and watch games all day.”
Adam Stevenson’s volleyball Patriots start the day off with what will be a tripleheader in Lourdes Hall. St. Catharine plays Midway College at 10:00. Midway then plays West Virginia Tech at noon. The volleyball day concludes with a Mid-South Conference match between St. Catharine and West Virginia Tech at 2:00.
The Patriot soccer teams will also host a conference opponent as West Virginia Tech visits the Barber Soccer Field for a doubleheader. The women’s game starts at 2:00 followed by the men at 4:00. Both are big contests for the Patriots as they look to even their conference slate at 2-2.
Meanwhile, throughout the day at Edelen-Haydon Field there will be plenty of baseball. Get a preview of the 2011 Bat Pats as they take on two opponents as part of a tripleheader. At 9:00 Luther Bramblett’s bunch will play Bellarmine. That game will be followed by a game between Bellarmine and St. Clair College. The third game of the day will have the Patriots taking on St. Clair.
One paid admission of $5.00 will allow fans to watch the games and all three venues.
