With a short drive to Wilmore, the St. Catharine Nautical Patriots jumped head first into their meet with Asbury.
Coming off one of their most successful meets of the year at Union, the St. Catharine Lady Patriots were excited to dive right back into the pool for another chance at nationals’ qualification. In the 200 Yard Freestyle event Hannah Spaulding (Springfield, Ky.) and Martha Raley (Lebanon, Ky.) helped the Patriots jump on the board early; Spaulding posted a third place finish (2:08.98) while Raley came in a close fifth (2:32.15). Spaulding didn’t wait long to follow up on her success with yet another third place finish, when she was able to post a 5:17.37 in the 400 Yard IM. Keeping pace with Spaulding, Raley posted a top five finish in the 500 Yard Freestyle with a 6:74.44. With Raley and Spaulding having successful afternoons Keely Taylor Portsmouth, Ohio) had her work cut out for her to keep pace with her teammates. However, Taylor didn’t disappoint; Keely posted a 30.02 and a fifth place finish in the 50 Yard Freestyle, rounding out the Patriots’ exciting day.
The Nautical Patriots will hit the waters once more when they travel to Union College on December 6th to meet the Bulldogs.
